Toilet questions?

Couple Newb questions for chemicals in and on the commode. 1) What are the best chems to use for the black tank should I use the toss ins or the measure out chems, what works good? Brands, smells etc... 2) My GF wants to clean the interior and exterior of the bowl and we obviously don't want to upset anything going on in the tank with any of the chemicals we do use. Suggestions for that also please. Thank you!!

I have used Odorlos for years. No chemical smell and no tank smell, although we don't use the black tank heavily nor let it sit and fester for days.

A tt tank is a holding tank, not a septic tank. Use whatever bowl cleaner you would use at home. We use a locally sourced "Natura" product that also doesn't smell as I can't stand the strong odor of common bowl cleaners in a confined space. If you're still concerned, clean the toilet just before dumping and the bowl cleaner is gone.

Happy Camper to clean out the tank really well. It is available online. As for the bowl, we use up leftover laundry detergent by diluting the last of the bottle with water. Mild sprays for the outer bowl, lid, etc. Oh, use no bleach products as they are hard on rubber seals.

Typing too fast. Tide, Wisk, etc. IN the bowl and a spray cleaner of another sort for the seat, etc. We like very diluted white vinegar and water.
