Tire Jack recommendations

We have a 2499 trailer (7600 lbs) how big of a jack do I need? 2 ton, 3 ton, 4 ton? What kind of jack? Floor? Cylinder? Do I need a jack big enough to pick up the whole trailer or just big enough to pick up one axle of the trailer? If I split the weight in half that would be a 2 ton jack.

Thank You

i would say bigger than 2 ton - i had a two ton bottle jack that lifted the trailer twice and then no more --- after that the seals in the jack went and so the jack was useless --- i would recommend at least a 5 ton and i personally like bottle jacks - but to each his own

depends on what you want to do,if you just want to jack up the trailer one wheel at a time to service wheel bearings etc. 2 ton jack is enough, but if you want to lift one entire side of the trailer for what ever reason then atleast a 4 ton.
