H'mm Did I follow that right, you replaced the metal door edge as the original was rusted out?
If so, where did you find a channel just that size? Or do you have a buddy with a weld shop and a press brake?

The guy I bought the camper from had the channel made for him but he never installed it.The problem I am having now is the metal used was thicker than the original and it is just a little wider so I am being challenged putting the frame over it.I wasn't impressed when I saw the staples that were used to fasten the top and bottom wood to the hinge side wood

Great! Good Job.
The little roller that use to be on the top of the door, that is so you do not accidentally rip the awning with the square corner door. Not a problem if the awning is not put out but if it is, that square corner can rip the awning quick if the awning is able to touch. The newer round corner doors do not have this problem so much but the older square corner ones do. Just a friendly heads up.
