T-2570 Brake replacement

Does anyone know where to get parts for sunline solaris T-2570? I cant find a parts breakdown for it. I want to pull a tire and check them over to make sure they are in good shape but if i need to replace pads or anything i dont know where to find them. Tried googling it but theres not alot out there for my model. Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome!

What year is your coach? The parts for the brakes are actually pretty common, if you go by the brake/axle manufacturer name. Your owner's manual, if you have it, should tell you what it is, or we can help with by model year. Any trailer shop or RV dealer should stock the magnets, drums, or whole backing plates if you need. Some specific parts beyond magnets may be available online, but if you need shoes, it's probably cheaper to do the whole backing plate.

OK we can help on a 2003. Do you have Dexter or Alko brakes? The drums would have the name molded into the casting.

There are lots of parts available for them. Very common once you know where to look.

You have 10" dia x 2" wide brakes. Just need which brand and we can link in all the parts.

Hope this helps

John

If you have Dexter brakes, here is the manual for them. http://www.dexteraxle.com/docs/defau....pdf?sfvrsn=38

If you have Alko, here is the manual on them. http://www.al-ko.us/download/ALKO_Ow...K__05_2014.pdf

If you want Dexter brake parts, I have found Eastern Marine to be about the best on pricing on Dexter genuine parts. The entire brake plates with all parts is for $28 and it come in Dexter boxes. They are genuine Dexter

They do sell just parts, but often times the parts cost more then an entire brake assembly https://www.easternmarine.com/dexter...set-k71-047-00

However you pay freight at Eastern Marine.

Etrailer has them too, but they sometimes cost more but can ship for free on orders over $99. So figure the total cost

If you have Alko that is different set of suppliers

Here is a break down sheet on the 10 x 2 1/4" brakes
http://www.al-ko.us/download/ALKO4K_4.4KBrake.pdf

Southwest wheel handles some Alko. I have bought from them before with positive results. Just watch out on the entire assembly from them, unless it says genuine Alko it make be an aftermarket product.

https://www.southwestwheel.com/c-31-...ake-parts.aspx

These folks also have Alko parts and brakes. AXLE Inc. - Towable Trailer Axle Specialists

I have dealt with Axle Inc and they are a good vender of genuine parts.

Heads up though, there is now a lot of offshore aftermarket brake parts out there now. If it does not say "Genuine Dexter or Genuine Al-Ko" they may be a knock off brand. Some are OK and some are not.

Also, while an entire brake assembly bolt pattern from Dexter will fit on an Alko axle and visa versa, the actual individual parts will interchange . I have Alko axles with Dexter brakes. Dexter did by out Al-Ko a few years ago.

You may have been trying to find "parts for a Sunline" online or even at a dealer. That will usually not turn up much. Sunline bought the axles, brakes and all the other purchased components and assembled them into a camper. To find parts, we look for the manufacture of the item then go hunt for that. So far we have found just about everything Sunline created. The older campers can get harder as sometimes the manufacturers discontinued them, but there is generally a work around. Your 2003 camper is not that old and just about everything is still available from the manufacturers of those purchased items. I have several 2004 models and I can find everything I needed so far. And that is a bunch... over the years.

Hope this helps

John

PS. if you are going into the brakes, don't forget to repack the axle bearings and replace the seals. Parts for them are readily available too. A local NAPA autoparts store has them too.
