T-1350 Roof Coating
I know this has been addressed here before, but I can't find it for whatever reason.
I'm wanting to coat the aluminum roof on our '88 T-1350. What's a "good" coating for sealing and protection that won't cost an arm or a leg? We're only looking at about a 72 square foot area. (Something from Home Depot or Lowes, maybe?)
The RV dealers here are pretty high on this kind of stuff, and it's tough to find an appropriate quantity for the job. It doesn't sit well with me to buy a 5-gallon can at 2 or 3 times the cost of only using a gallon or two - especially if it lasts 5 or 10 years. Will the rest of it be good in 5 or 10 years so I can use more of it - sitting in my garage that gets well over 110 in the summer and below zero in the winter? I doubt it.
I don't have any leak or damage issues, but do want to get it coated with *something* before Winter. I don't know when it may have been done in the past. We've only had it since August last year.
Thanks,
-Dale
