Stupidity inside

So i left some burgers in the freezer and they thawed out and blood leaked out.cleaned what i can reach inside but looks like the side of the freezer inside can be removed hopefully becausethe blood leaked into there.also camper smells like death so solutions for that as well would be a huge hwlp.

Thanks Rob

H'mm, what year camper and what brand/model of the fridge?

While the entire fridge can come out of the camper mounting hole pretty easy in the big picture of things, pending the year/model of the fridge, the plastic sides inside the freezer compartment are molded together. But, since yours leaked out of the compartment, yours may be different.

Any chance of a few pics of the inside of the freezer along with model & year?

May be able to help better seeing what you are up against.

I had a similar situation years ago when a customer left their camper at our shop while waiting for a service opening. They neglected to tell us the freezer was full of shrimp. Needless to say it was difficult to find a volunteer to even open the freezer door! We tried a lot of things but what worked the best was to spray the inside of the freezer with a bleach and water mixture as Mainah suggested. But we used a lot of it so it would seep into the cracks, then used a wet/dry vac to try to suck the mixture out. Rinse and repeat.

MAHutch
You can put a container of coffee grounds in the freezer to absorb the smell also cleaning with lemon also may work for the smell. Magic Eraser works for marks in the fridge and stains too.

Do not know about the sides, but this I can tell you.

The screws in the back are to hold the cooling coil tight to the back of the freezer compartment.

While those screws will come out, they will not release the back plastic panel. The sides, I'm not sure about. They "might" be snap in like you stated. I have not had the sides out.

This is out of a 2007 T286SR and is also a RM2652, just newer

The freezer and the screws in the back

The back of the fridge with the cooling coil off showing the freezer cooling plate those screws go through to hold the coil in place. There is nothing back there you can clean or take off to clean short of pulling the entire cooling coil. I doubt the smelly stuff made it around the screws.

Did you resolve the stink issue? Sorry late getting back to you, been out camping.

Hope this helps

John
