Stabilizer Legs for 87 Saturn T-1661

My '87 Sunline Saturn T-1661 doesn't have stabilizer legs. Not sure if it originally came with 'tuck unders' but none are attached to the under frame. Interested to know what type if any ya'll have installed.

Hi,

I mounted 2 pairs of stabilizers scissor jacks on our T2251. It wasn't too bad, just make sure you have the right tools. That is, quality drill bits, clamps, floor jack, and safety glasses. I used stainless steel bolts too. Here is a link from CW for something like I purchased. Scissor Jacks Stabilizing System - Set of 2 - BAL 24002D - Stabilizing Jacks - Camping World

I bought BAL brand from the local RV dealer.

It probably didn't come with any- those would have been very special order. What usually was available from the factory for many years were stabilizing jacks- jacks that drop down and touch the ground but aren't meant for leveling at all. For a trailer this small, what people would do back in the day is have these little screw type jack stands that they'd put under the trailer. Lower the trailer down with the tongue jack, adjust the back jacks as needed, raise the front of the trailer to install the front set, and then lower the front jack a little to set it down on all four. Just how it was for many years... These things were usually cast and the threaded rod with a nut would slide in the top. The nut would sit down in a spot to hold it.

That said, BAL or Liftco jacks are awesome options for a leveling scissor jack.
