sScreen door latch

Not only can't the chinese make safe tires, they can't make reliable screen door latches either.

We have had our first failure of our new Sunline. The spring in the screen door latch broke.

Where would be the best place to find a like kind replacement? I have tried two local RV parts places and searched the internet but can't find the exact kind.

BTW, in the car hobby I am known as a Purist. I will search the 4 cxorners of the globe before I will make a modification to original equipment.

The screen door latch is pretty weak I fully agree.

Mine has not broke yet but will in time. I'll be following your post to see what come up by others.

However, I have no fear on modifing original equipment. Some I do not, others I will without hesitation. It all depends what it is. My Sunline is my hobby.

Hi Paul,

Check GO-RV.com – Screen Door latch, part # 40349 / 40350; 3rd column at bottom.

Not sure if this is the same one, but it looks like the latch on my screen door.

If this looks right, it will at least give you something to go to an RV dealer’s part department with.

That looks like the one. I'll order it. I took mine apart, and found the little spring had broken. I have tried unsuccessfully to make another spring but don't have a good one to adapt.

Mine went out on my last trip too. Same issue once i cracked it open.
