Soft floor in front of furnace air intake.

My 04 2363 now has a soft spot in the floor in front of the furnace air intake. It is where you stand to use the sink. I went under the camper and sliced the fabric and you could feel the osb and the support beam (2x3) soft and chipping apart. Also you could really smell the mildew or musties.
My questions:
We know water always win but has anyone had this problem and been able to locate the source of the water infiltration? There is no water under the sink, supply and waste lines look secure no leaking.

To replace the floor at that area would the cabinets have to be removed? including the stove and furnace. if so any help?

I know other questions will pop up but this will get me started.

Thank You

Hi Trevio,

Sorry to hear about your water damage. The floors have been replaced by SOC members with the camper intact.

Follow this FAQ link and scroll down to

Restoring a Sunline

1. Repairing water damage on your Sunline.

There are some pics of the repair process by fellow members.

The cabinets may or may not have to come up. It "depends" on if the water wicked under there or not.

Here is a product you can use to treat the floor joists from fungus and decay once you get the floor up and dried out. Wood preservation, rot repair, and restoration using epoxy resin on boats and homes.

It will kill and seal any bacteria so you do not get dry rot later on.

Where the leak came from? that is hard to tell. The answer will hopefully appear once your start into this. Unless you run into someone with your floor plan and the same problem, it is hard to tell. Some have had the issue from a leaking toilet on the fresh water side. Some have had intrusion from a window working it's way down the wall.

If you do take this project on, please post pictures of the process. These really help folks coming behind you sort this same problem out when it happens to them.

Good luck and hope this helps
