Hi Gary,

Welcome to Sunline Owners Club. Glad you found us. Sorry about your soft floor.

1st is the soft spot around the base of the toilet or in the area near the toilet? I'm making an assumption it is near the base of the toilet. If so then read on.

I myself have not had the toilet up yet, have not had the need to but others here have. To my understanding RV toilets do no use a wax ring like on a home toilet. They use a foam type ring to seal the toilet to the piping flange. Reason being the road vibration and the wax ring do not self compensate like the foam flexible seal. I had a buddy have a big issue on his Jayco leaking sewer gas thur the gasket area so that is my point of reference. In his case the brand plastic toilet would flex so much the foam gasket could not seal it off. They replaced the toilet with a china bowl one that is made stronger in the base and his smell leak went away. It is not that all plastic RV toilets have this issue, but his did.

In your case my first thought is some how you had a leak from the fresh water side at a fitting or the toilet valve. OR maybe some how the tank flange that is welded to the black tank is cracked. But in this case you would think you would smell something.

Do you smell any sewer gas?

Regardless at this point I would think you need to lift up the toilet and look to see where the water is coming from. It is only held on with 2 bolts to the floor. Once it is up you may be able to see where the soft spot is and how far it is spread. If it is soft there, odds are you have to lift the toilet to repair any way.

If you can, take some pics and post. This give us a better idea what your up against and can give better answers on where to look. I may be off base just reading your post, but it is a place to start. We can help you with the pic posting if needed.

If the base of the toilet area is hard floor all the way around then we need more info on where the soft spot is and then do not lift the toilet yet. Can't tell from your one post.

Hope this helps

John
