What are the recommended repair procedures, for aluminum siding? The tear is just below the right side tail light on the 17 1/2. I can and will post a pic later.. Just looking for ideas..

Gary,
RV siding is installed the opposite of house siding.. that is, it's installed from the top down. It's generally held to the studs with staples.
If by chance you can find a replacement piece, or a piece from the salvage unit is the same style, it's rather simple to remove the corner extrusions, then remove a couple of pieces to get to the damaged one. As long as you are gentle with it, it's very easy to remove and reinstall without damaging it.
If you can't find a replacement piece, you may be able to make one up if you have access to a metal break (or is it brake? I can never remember). I've seen some nice looking homemade RV siding come from coil stock and minute on the break. A decent body shop supply can match anything, even faded finishes, with a fancy camera, and a lot of them can custom mix spray bombs for small jobs.
You could repair the hole. One option would be to have somebody gently tig in a piece of aluminum. Another option might be to flange the hole and affix a patch plate with some structural epoxy. Either way it would need a little light body work and hit with paint.
Finally, you could just cover it with something - light fixture, decal, plaque with a name on it, whatever..
Just a couple thoughts for you.
