Sealing water leak in front window

Had a small leak in the front window of my 2004 264SR in both corners that dripped onto the pillows. I checked the frame caulking & it looked fine so I used a thin blade to separate the window channel from the glass & then used silicon windshield sealer by squeezing it between the two The sealer found its own level & in some spots leaked out indicating where the leak was coming from.

I think HenryJ will chime in here on this as I "thought" he had seen this on his window or at least the caulk to prevent it.

On mine there is a caulk on the lower rounded glass corners sort of sealing the glass to the frame. That was there before I owned it. I believe it is there to prevent exactly what you found. Some how the seal is weakened between the glass to the window frame and water finds it's way thru this area. Sealing the window to the frame has been the fix in the past.

If this does not sound like what you have, then need a pic or 2.

John, I just started working on a checklist of things to do as the weather here in NJ has been warm for the past 2 days (getting the itch) I will hook up a hose & check my work & if need be seal the rubber channel to the frame.

Here's the link to the original thread on front window leaks that John mentioned. While I was referring to leaks on the road, I think a trailer in storage could still have the same problem with the slope on the nose and the amount of water that runs down as snow melts.
