Scissor Jacks
Leaving my parents last night with our Sunny 195SR for our inaugural weekend trip there was a slight bank that we went down over, then across a driveway and my rear left scissor jack bottomed out and was nearly ripped off. Don't know why it was lower than my drag wheels as I always crank them up as high as I can.
But anyway, I had to take it off as it was unable to travel with and pretty torn up. Can these be put on individually or do you need to purchase a whole set. I'm assuming you can buy them individually but just wanted to check.
The camping season starts tonight, but got off to a slightly ugly start last night.

If you are referring to the BAL or Lippert scissor stabilizer, then yes they can be installed as individual. If you stick with the same brand/model then the crank end is usually the same. Some brands/models have a 3/4" hex others have a hole you put a crank rod thru. It is less pain if all of them use the same crank handle.
Hope this helps
John

John,
We are getting closer to getting yours off the 299, about 10' of door side wall & front wall is all that is left standing. So, hopefully soon, the total tear down will be finished.

Hi Dave,
You should be able to purchase a single jack from Lippert. Usually, the BAL brand jacks available at RV dealers and Camping World are sold in pairs, so you'd have to buy a pair unless one of the places happened to have an extra somewhere lying around. Might just take a quick phone call to some of them...
There's also a company, Cuches International, who gives a discount to members of this site, and they sell jacks. I don't know anything about the product to know how it is, but they do give $5 off.
