Roof Vents Deterorating

I have 2006 t-1950 and I was installing my new Maxxair vents. I noticed the covers seemed a little chauky so I rubbed the edge and it just fell away. I covered it up with some aluminum tape. and put the Maxxair cover on. My question is does anyone know who suppled the covers and what the warrenty is on the covers. It seems like they should last longer that 2 years.

JohnB is on a distinguished road
I have found different brands of roof vents are better then others. I had the 2004 Sunline warrenty roof vent issue. The steel flaange rusted in less then 1 year. And the dome was shot too. Bad batch of roof vents for sure.

On my lastest TT, I installed Vent Line and I put 303 protectant on it inside and out before installing. The Sun eats these things alive.

After purchsing my VentLines, I saw Camco makes one with a lifetime warranty.

The type of plastic is the issue. The Maxx Airs are made from real good stuff and hold up well, as does most AC covers. They are all on the roof in the same sunlight, so why do these last longer then the vent?? The type of plastic and what is in it to fight the UV rays.

I do however even 303 spray the Maxx Airs.

Good luck

John
