Roof vent fan

Does the roof vent fan run off of the battery only. My battery has been cleaned and charged. Lights and etc work. Bath room fan and living room fan does not work. Checked fuse on fan and it's good.

The standard bathroom vent fan and the MaxxAir upgrades are 12vdc. I am not sure what living room fan you are referring to. You'll have to determine it it's plugged into a 110vac outlet or hardwired in the trailer. If it's hardwired, you may have to drop the fan and see if the wiring is 110vac or 12vdc.

Time to get out the multimeter and start hunting. Unfortunately, some of the 12vdc connections in these rigs are just twisted together with a wire nut which makes them susceptible to falling apart with age.

If the bathroom fan doesn't work, what else doesn't? That might give you a clue as to what to look into.

In the Sunline 2499 there is a vent and fan in the living area, above the kitchen/ living area. Both fans are maxi fans. I will drop the living area fan and see how it is wired tomorrow. Thanks for your reply.

Roof vent fan

Might want to go to the files section and download the one and only wiring diagram as far as I know (forget the model). It helped me tremendously fixing the problem with a non working power source to my tv antennae. 1996 T-1700.

Tightened all connections on the converter and found a loose ground wire. Mystery solved. Both fans work. Happy camper.

Heading out Next week for Door County Wisconsin for a couple weeks.
