Removing Step Bezel

Got to admit, I'm stumped... I am attempting to remove the plastic trim around the entrance door (step bezel). I removed all the screws and it's still pretty tight. Has anyone remove one before? I can get the putty knife behind the part to pry off the butyl tape. The step bezel does go up under the threshold of the door.

H'mm your 2006 benzel looks different then the 2004.

This may help so you can see what the door sill looks like out of the camper. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f7...ics-11717.html

Mine the benzel did not go up into the door sill plate.

I know yours looks like it does but it may just come up close to it and not connect into the door. The is not really a place for it to connect into the door sill unless your door sill is totally different too.

Yes, the putty tape really sticks them on. I had the same issue on a fender skirt. Screws out and it is still glued to the camper.... If you use a hair dryer and warm the benzel and putty tape it may release easier. And use the putty knife, pry gently after warming with the hair dryer.

Hope this helps

John

Thanks John. Maybe I just need to work at it a little harder. The picture really helps too. I believe I will try the hair dryer on a warmer day. Thanks again!

That's a big help! It confirms there is no lip that would attach under the threshold. Today is going to be in the 40's, I may give it another shot.
