Thumbs up Removing floor in trailer

Hi,

I have a 22' sunline trailer the floor is in tough shape part of the the frame
of the floor is gone needs to be replace.

My question is has anyone ever replace a floor? pulling out the cabinets
is going to be a good job. I started on ripping outthe floor ,trying to see how to remove some cabinets with out turning the cabinets into junk.

Looks to me I will need to remove ceiling panels to get at screws for
closet

Any help on this would be a blessing

Thanks,

Dennis

When we replaced the floor in the 2653, The cabinets all stayed in place. We removed the floor from under the cabinets and slid the new flooring in under them.

Here is a pic of the old floor removed and the first piece of new floor board installed...

Hi Dennis,

Looks like you have a project..... Join the club!!!

See this link to our articles section in the FAQ forum and scroll down to

Restoring a Sunline

1. Repairing water damage on your Sunline.

http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f1...nks-11910.html

There are several posts there with pics showing how folks have fixed their rotted floors.

The cabinets.... They are screwed in from the outside of the wall board before the siding went on. Maybe one of those vibrating new tools with a metal cut off blade might be able to sneak between the wall board and the cabinet to cut the screws. Never tried it myself but maybe it might work. Taking cabinets out is always a challenge.

As you work your way through this repair, take and post pics of the progress. This really helps others coming behind you.

Best of luck to you and any question post away. Many have dealt with rotted something. In my case is was a rotted slide floor.

John
