Refrigerator hatch / vent source ?
Hope you all had a great Labor day weekend !
I must have failed to properly re-install the 21in wide X 13 1/8 in tall fridge vent /cover on our 1950 when last I'd removed it, & found it missing when we arrived @ our holiday weekend campsite.
Checked a fairly extensive rv catalog from local dealer but it's not offered. Only those electric cable hatches @ a surprisingly expensive $53+
Anyone aware of a mail order source for one or what it's called if I try a google search for one ?
Thanx

Thanx for the help. It was much appreciated.
Price of fridge hatch @ your source was cheapest but their shipping fees were higher than competitors. Knowing what to call part allowed me to search further, & w/ free shp get a better overall deal
I also was able to get a very good deal on 4 replacement tires from a source recommended on this very helpful site

If you are going to order one try PPL Motorhomes. They have a large catalog and service is fairly quick...

Is this the same thing?... I had to replace the backside panel door to my fridge. I made one out of an aluminum storm window frame (just today!). Cost $5 at Habitat/Re-Store, but I'd like to "restore" as best I can...

Hi Jamie,
I have that exact door you need. It will need a minor paint job in order to match your trailer, and it needs a thumb latch, but it's the door with the hinge that should fit.
Send me a PM if you're interested.
EDIT- DOOR IS NOW SOLD
Jon

Try here. I have bought from PPL and had a good experience. Go to the Parts catalog, look up the model you have and then the part number.

Sorry, I don't. They can be found online and from RV dealers new, but they are very expensive and do come with the entire frame.
Since you're right over in Shelby Twp, try General in Mt. Clemens. They will have a lot of the plastic ones, but they might have a metal one in stock and/or can order it. It will come in white, so you'll have to probably paint it if you want it to match like the original did.

Hi Jon
If i get a outside refrig door today from general trailers. The first thing i am going to do,is figure out away to install acouple of hidden cables on the inside
of the door or maybe a latch. I will have to think about it . pros&cons.
TC
Ps I won`t lose another one!

The plastic doors should have a little turn latch on the bottom corners that keep it from blowing away.

These are the older metal style. Some have added thumb locks on the bottom to hold them in, but generally, you let the door hinge down, then lifted up on it a little, pushed in, and it would sit down in a slot. I guess it's easy for them to fall out.
The plastic one, even though it yellows and gets brittle easily, is a much superior design.

Hey Guys
Thanks for all the info about the outside door. I thought i would have my tail
lights working today. Its just not going to happen. I did get the plate side
working but on the right side the light is missing, only the wires are there.
Does the right side get wired the same way as the left ? I used a plate
light that i had, but it did not work right. I will try again, when i get home.
Thanks again for your help.
TC
