Radio Will Not Power Off

I'm willing to just pull the fuse, but which one would it be? This is a 1996 2653. Just noticed this while doing some work on it today, after trying to charge the house battery that I thought got drained because I left the antenna booster on, guess it was the radio.

My good news is that I finally got to see if the AC works, and it does. Had to get that second Honda generator and the parallel kit. This may be a PIA but it is certainly lighter than one big generator.

Thanks in advance. Any ideas on what may be wrong with this radio, I welcome them.

Well Marylyn..First of all I think you are talking about the little red LED type light--it stays on even when you power off the radio..and yes, it will draw down your battery eventually. I have a 2653 and it's the same situation..however, we keep ours plugged in most of the time but with the convertor off so we don't boil the battery. Short of dismantling the radio and removing the LED light, I don't think there is much you can do other than to take the leads off your battery in front..might be the thing to do as it sounds like you don't have power handy to keep your battery charged anyway--take the battery off and keep it handy to charge once a month...Hope this helps. Marylyn,

Check the fridge for a switch that is labeled reduces the amount of condensation. This runs on 12 volt and may be your problem power drain. In my trailer it is found on the top side of the door opening after you open the door.

How about a battery disconnect switch like many of the newer models are equiped with? That way everything that might drain the battery is off when disconnected, but on when you need them.
