Radio/TV Remote Control?

Hello Everyone,

We have a 2005 Sunline 2753 and have owned it since new. Over the years, we have used two remote controlled televisions in the cabinet over the dinette with no problems. Last spring, we installed a new flat screen TV on the wall below the cabinet.

The TV works fine, however, the remote control also turns on the factory radio in the camper. The trailer didn't come with a remote control for the radio, and we didn't know that it had that feature! It's inconvient turning off the radio everytime we turn on the TV or change the channel.

Does anyone know a fix for this problem? Lately, we just mute the radio and try to remember to turn it off later.

Thanks for any suggestions.

BLT

I would find the small window in the radio and put a piece of tape over it. The remotes are inferred and the radio/TV has to "see" them.

We put a piece of electrical tape over the sensors on the radio!

The same thing happens to my radio. I just put radio in aux mode and turn it off when I am done watching tv. Where are the radio sensors for taping up?

If you look closely on the face of the radio - you should be able to see a small round almost invisible circle - ours was on the right side of the station indicator

Ours was so bad I had to put a piece of alum foil on it first, then the black electrical tape over it to not look so bad. The tape alone was not dense enough top block the signal. The radio would go to full blast when changing a channel

I had a pic of the location on ours, but that pic seems to be escaping me right now.
