Problems with fridge

First off just wanted to say hi.. just joined the page. I need some help. I have a 2000 sunline Solaris t 1950. My fridge works great on AC... but when I turn it to LP even when it's at the correct operating temperature it just warms up and gets super warm... I've check that it's changing over and it has a good flame. I've taken the fluke apart and cleaned everything but still nothing. Any ideas would be great. Our local RV place is over a month out on repairs.. Thanks alot.

Did a search and found this in another forum. Cut and pasted whole article. Hope it helps.

"Nobody ever give me the right idea. Not with Dometic sales, factory, forum etc. Talking to so many people but nobody had the hint in the good direction.
And it is so simple. Its in the book. But because I had a flame I never thought it could be that problem.
It is as simple as turn on the the light switch when in the dark or fill the tank.
Solution:
Clean the gas nozzle! The small hole was clogged a little bit. I unscrewed it and cleaned the hole.
Be careful because there is a small Rubidium crystal, the same stone as in your watch with a calibrated hole.
The flame is much greater now, stable and the fridge works perfect. Problem solved. And I am so happy!"

Is this the on off knobs for the gas behind the fridge?

I believe it is the nozzle where the flame comes out. It is accessed from outside the trailer, in the refrigerator compartment where the gas line is as well as the electric plug.

First here are some pictures I took a few years ago when I had problems cooling on LP. I thought at the time I had a good flame at the burner.

Low flame:

Good Flame:

Cleaning the burner tube and the jet made the difference. You can't see the jet in these pictures but if you look to the left of where the burner tube is in these pictures you will find it. You need to remove the burner and you can get to the jet and unscrew it from the gas solenoid.. You can soak it in alcohol a blow it out with air but NEVER try to poke it with a piece of wire.

A couple of years later I had low flame problems but it turned out to be the LP regulator.

Yup, your post reminded me of the problems I had years ago and that I had pictures online already.

You are in luck if it cools plugged in that means the fridge is fine yep a plugged gas jet will do it every time.
