John,

I wish i knew more about the subject. This problem happened at the last campground we were at and again at home. It happened after the A/C was running for about an hours and was restarting. I was assuming it was the Air Conditioner but maybe both the campground and my house has power supply issues. I will let you know how i make out after this thursday when the mechanic shows up. I am going to write down all the ideas and opinions that all of you came up with and share them with the mechanic to try to resolve this problem. Thanks everyone for the help and i'll post what happened when he hopefully fixes it.

Jared

Power converter / 12 volt system

Long story short I have a weird issue. I lost power to all lights, fridge, water pump and heater, slide. All 110 outlets work. No breakers were tripped inside panel. I did have a electrician look at panel and he told me it looked fine and has power in all the right places. Any help out there? Ideas? Thank you

Hi
Not sure what year or model you have but mine has a circuit breaker under the master bed inside a small compartment with a sliding lid. If that goes bad I believe it will cut off all dc voltage. 2001 SR 320

From the sound of things your AC probably has a bad start capacitor. When the AC cycles the start current is very high the capacitor kind of gives it a kick start. The do make such a thing as a hard start cap. that helps with hard starting.

Going forward you may want to create a new thread with your situation. I contacted JohnB by PM who has a wealth of technical knowledge on all things sunline. He should be reaching out to you.

Hi Logans.

What year is your T-280SR? This helps us hone on the things that changed over the years on the same model.

Do the lights inside work when you are plugged into shore power?

If you plug the 7 wire cable into your truck and have the truck running, do the lights inside the camper work?

It is only on battery power from the camper battery that is, when nothing works that on 12 VDC?

Do you have a volt meter that reads one or 2 decimal places? if so what is the battery voltage at the battery?

What make and model is the power converter? Any pics of it?

This info can help us get you to the next level of trying to figure this out.

Hope this helps

John
