Paneling Pulled Loose
While working on our T1350, I seemed to have pulled the panelling loose from the wall studs while removing an attached piece of decor. Does anybody have any tips for finding the studs and getting it reattached? What centers are they on? The structure is solid, so I don't think it's any more serious than that. This is the panelling above the stove, and only in the center of it that's loose. The perimeter is attached securely.

I think they're 12" centers, not 16.
I'd just tap on the panel and listen for when it sounds solid. Another option is to just look for the staples. They put a putty over them so they don't stand out, but you should see the little staples on there if you look hard enough.
I think they're 12" centers, not 16.
H'mm, Jon that is different then what Larue told me one time or at least the context of it. Again, I was talking the newer units, 2004, so it may have changed over the years on the 12 to 16". I was told 16" was the norm at least on roof rafters and one would think the wall studs would follow.
However that said, on a little camper or even a big camper, there are so many things that break up the pattern, windows, doors, extra reinforcing to hang something, etc. that there may not be a very established pattern and I'm sure the floor plan forces extra studs pending the layout.
I agree, regardless if it was 12 or 16, you can’t count on it. Where did it start from? Did it reset 4 feet down the wall?
Feeling for solid and looking for staples some times is the only way. I’m not sure an electronic stud finder would work. The metal siding may interfere with the sensing. I have one, just never tried it on the camper. Will have to try that and see as I need to find them every now and then.

If a camper is apprx 96" wide, and there are 5 spaces that seems to point to 19.2" centers... No doors, no windows, just wall. The 2 studs in the center of this camper look closer than the rest. May be an illusion or not.
And then the angled area where the diamond plate would go, if it had any only has 4 spaces...
The pattern may be, there is no set pattern....
H'mm...

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I believe the 1350 is right at 6' wide, John.
Sounds like I may have to just hunt-'n-peck (or probe) to find them. (The original wall will be covered when we're done.) I do have a stud finder, but I think like you - that it's likely it won't work. Possibly because of the small stud size and/or because of the shell. It's kinda "iffy" on a 1927-built house as it is.
