one faucet not working? (Hot water)

Things are working pretty well with my Sunline, however, the hot water faucet in the kitchen is almost completely non functional. Water only barely dribbles out a couple of drops at at time. The cold side works fine. The bathroom faucet and shower are fine too, both hot and cold work there.

I think I should take that particular faucet apart and look for some sort of corrosion, debris, or obstruction. I just thought I'd ask for advice before ripping stuff apart.

Thanks!

Usually when the hot water doesn't flow it is the check valve at the water heater output at the top of the tank but if you get good hot water flow in the bathroom sink and shower then that would rule out the check valve.

The other usual place for reduced flow in the kitchen sink is the little screen that screws into the end of the faucet arm but you get good cold water flow in the kitchen sink.

Seems like it must be some crud in the hot valve, as you mentioned. (need a head scratching icon here )

Good luck. Let us know what you find.

I had the same problem with one faucet. I unscrewed the pipe fitting and found some particles like sand at the faucet. Easy fix.

Good news, bad news. I pulled out the hot water faucet assembly, and the middle faucet where the water comes out. They were both remarkably clean without any dirt. I blew some air into the hot water and it came out the main faucet. I reassembled everything, went camping, and it worked fine. I have no idea what was wrong , but now its fixed ...

The moral of the story, go camping and it's fixed!

I like your "fix it" method.

For sure need to try this new method...H'mm it's Friday, tonight sounds about right!

Kidding aside, glad it all worked out for you. However, if your new method works out, take good notes.... want to become trained in this new method!
