new to trailer camping

Hi All,
Thanks for the help with may initial question. Now i am ready to go.
However two things come to mine.
1.
I have camped for years and always went to the well for water. now with a trailer , i see i can hold about 25 gallons. are there water hook ups at each site?? i only remember electric because thats all i needed. Should i have a hose or just bring contianers??
2.
Whats involed with pumping out waste. Do i need connection stuff or thats at the pump out stations and i just connect.

you need to go to Walmart and get a "Drinking" water hose for fresh water if available, also a "Sewer" hose and connectors and a foam doughnut to seal the sewer connnection if it is available. don't use a regular garden hose as it will make you sick. there are special water hoses just for potable water (drinkable). even if you fill the fresh water from home, use the special hose. (although this will add weight to the trailer)

if the site does not have a sewer hookup, you will still need the sewer hose and connectors.

again Walmart is the cheapest we have found.

good luck and have fun.

You should have a fresh water inlet, somewhere on the side of the camper. You will be able to hook a "White" water hose to it. The white hoses are designed to be drinking water safe. You will also want to get a pressure regulator and attach it to the water hydrant. You will then hook the hose to the regulator.

That will allow you to get your water directly from the hydrant.

You will also need sewer hose, that attaches to the outlet under the camper. Always empty the black tank first and the gray tank last! The gray water will help wash the solids out of the hose.

Your fresh/city water inlet should resemble this:

The fill port for the fresh water tank, should resemble one of these:

If you use the hose and city/fresh water inlet, you will not need to use the on-board water pump. If you put water in the tank, you will need to use the pump to pressurize the system with water.

You should also probably sanitize your entire fresh water system. There's a guide that Sunline distributed and it can be found here: Sunline Spring Startup Guide
