Needs thermostat..

My Sunline friend is having trouble with both furnace and AC ..figuring it is a thermostat problem. It is a '98 2653 with a Duotherm/Dometic thermostat(ducted system)...went to dealer who said..they are discontinued-didnt offer replacement advice. I know it has been discussed before here --what can he use for replacement please?
P.S.first his AC didn't shut down..now his furnace won.'t come on..fuse is fine he says..full propane. Janalee

here's what I did with mine. works quite well. You don't need the extra switch installed if you don't want to run AC or fan motor on low. may not be available at walmart but still available
