moving and rewiring my new battery

hi,

i bought a new deep cycle battery and wanted to place it on the tongue (moving it from underneath a bench seat inside) and wonder where to run the wires.

do i drill a hole in the front wall at the tongue? run them out the window? or...any one else solve this problem already?

thanks for any tips!

My battery wire goes through the floor in the center right behind the front wall (and under my sofa). There is a small wood box thing there with lugs and a thermal fuse. Not sure where the standard would be on your model.

Chances are there is a hole. I've never actually seen the inside mount design, so I'm not familiar with how it's wired.

Yes look around for the original setup. If there is an angle iron frame on the tongue of the camper for a battery, odds are very high Sunline created the camper with the battery there. Don't know they would of mounted a lead acid battery inside unless there was special venting for the fumes

Tracing the heavy big red wire wire back from the actual power convertor may turn up a fuse box and a hole to the outside world. If you are unsure of what wire to go looking for, try and post a pic of the power convertor and we should be able to spot it. Ideally with the cover off if you feel OK removing it. Make sure all power is off.

Hope this helps

John
