Make a new table for T-1661

hey group,
As some of you may know, I bought a used T-1661. One of the things I am re-doing is the dinette. The table is MIA. I am going to make a new one, but since the table is offset, I was wondering if someone had one that could give me the dimensions. I plan on either using some plywood and staining/varnishing, or using an old table top to recreate.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

thanks,
Jason

When we had our QUE, the table it came with was too large to easily get into it's storage closet. We used the legs from the original table, then went to Lowe's and picked up a nice unfinished table top in their wood department. Their prices are reasonable. Steve cut it to size, then stained and put on poly...worked great.

We replaced our table because we felt it was too big for two. We bought a stair tread, cut it in half and glued it together, stained and polyurethaned it. We used the orginal hardware.

It looks a lot better the the original.

A picture is available under Filesw, Other Files, preparinga 1982 SUnline.

Hi, just joined up with the forum for the first time in awhile. You are really better off to make your own table. The original table is a pain. It is offset, and pivots a bit to allow you to get the bathroom door open or get the fridge open. And there is no real good place to store it.

I'd like to see what you come up with. Good luck.
