Leak in bathroom

Hi all, went to FLorida for the month of January with the truck, camper and motorcycle. After we got set up in the campground, DH noticed the rug in the bedroom was wet. I shut off the city water and set some fans and heaters up, got it all dried out. Turned the city water back on, waited a couple of hours, thought I found the leak around the toilet. Turns out it wasn't there at all. One of the lines going up to the sink was leaking. I couldn't fix it down there so I wrapped a towel around the lines and changed it every day. If we were planning on being gone for the day or days, I shut the water back off and opened the facets. Today, I went out and worked on it. I got the lines off the sink, but I couldn't unhook them from the floor fittings where the low drains are. Anyone know how the lines come off the fittings??

If you mean how to get the water line off the low point drain valve, those white ends caps that have the straight knurls (raised ribs) on them unscrew. Once unscrewed the line should pull out of the low point drain valve.

Thanks John, I looked at the vid, but they would not pull or twist off. Ended up cutting both lines off and scoring the lines with a razor knife before they would come off. Now I'm going fix the lines the right way, the way Sunline should have fixed them in the first place. The lines were so tight the hot water line wore a hole in the line from the wood brace. Went to Lowe's and picked up a couple of 90 degree elbows, putting them in to relieve the pressure on the lines. Thanks John for the help. Chuck and Terry

Thanks for reporting back. H'mm, the lines may have setup over the years and just about fusing them together.

Yes, a little flex in the hose is a good thing. Vibration going down the road can wear through 2 surfaces constantly rubbing under lots of tension.

Now all I have to do is fix the back step from when I blew a back tire coming back thro Georga. I flipped the axles last fall, I think that saved ripping out everything in the wheel wells. Chuck and Terry

Oh boy, another tire saga.... Yes the plastic wheel wells on the T2499 can't handle much tire abuse. Glad you did not have to deal with that. It bent the step? That must of been a long strand flying around. A tire failure on a camper can be a head ache for sure

Oh ya, guy pulled into the campground next us, a tire had let go, tore everything up. You could look right into the camper, he went somewhere and came back with two steel plates they had bent to the shape on the other side, said it wasn't happening again. Chuck and Terry
