Keeping awning dry?

We always try to dry our awning after camping, yet when it rains all rolled up right in the driveway the awning gets wet anyway. Is there any way to protect it, or is it a losing battle---why worry about drying it out unless it can stay dry after you put it away?

Here is a cheaper place to start. Turn it upside down and lay it in the gutter rail on the roof line.
Lowes/Home depot has them too. Helps with the sun damage as well

The biggest issue with the cover is the ends. If you are using the gutter setup, suggest cutting/trimming the gutter to hang way past the end of the awning arm. A foot beyond is good start, may need more. Water wicks in the ends if they are exposed.

Heads up: Make sure you take these off before taking off. I tested mine at least 20 miles...once, mine wrapped tight enough it stayed on but the test was "not" intentional and will not happen again.

I have heard of folks using this too to help stop the molding. I use this on my house vinyl siding and it lasts a year with positive results. I just myself not tried it on the awning yet.

Teach, mine where the PVC pipe kind. They stayed on no problem. The C shaped gutter kind, I have not tired them yet. Only seen them by guys on RV net May need a bungee cord around the support arm.
