Help! Water inside but source unknown!
We had water seepage inside our Sunline! I have attached some pics. The wet spot was along the floor adjacent to the passthrough storage at the front of the unit and along the bottom of the bed frame. We found no wet spots on the walls or in the passthrough. The one pic has a red line indicating where the water was. It was enough to wet several paper towels and occurred after a day of rain. We were in the unit during several days of rain the previous weekend with no problems. It was outside all winter with no problems. The TT is a 2006 T-2675 toy hauler. I noticed that the window just above the wet area was cracked about 1/4 inch. You know...how you have to push it past that "lock" to open/close it? It wasn't pushed past the "lock" when this happened. But the wall was dry.
Thoughts?

Here's a pic of the window.

That doesn't look good, I see what looks like discoloration in the flooring already, indicating water underneath.
To confirm, the trailer was sitting still, not moving, when the problem occurred, right?
Did you look inside the front storage cabinet? The cabinet doors are known to leak sometimes, that could be the source.

It was parked when we noticed it. We had driven the previous day but we were not driving in the rain. The rain stopped that morning - before we started driving. It was sitting still when we were in the four days of rain the previous weekend with no water problem noted.
I've looked and felt around inside the wardrobe and didn't feel any moisture. Perfectly dry.

Do you mean the passthrough door might leak?

Yes sorry, passthrough compartment/door. That's behind that carpeted box there.
We've found that if the lips on the doors get bent from moving stuff in and out, or the foam seal is ripped up, it can leak. Normally only when driving in the rain, but if the rain drips down from the gutter around there with a little wind and gets around the door, it could work itself in.

I agree, it might be the passthrough cargo hole door leaking. The leak can be hit or miss pending on how the rain is blowing against the camper or off the roof.
For cargo hole troubleshooting, sometimes putting a bright light inside, close the door and look for light leaks. Doing this at night when the sun has gone down helps too.
Also, wiggle the door. Sometimes the latch or the thin frame where the foam strip get's bent and the door has play (wiggle clearance) to it in and out from the camper. That wiggle is the ability to have water come past the seal. When the thumb lock and key lock are turned the door should be tight to the camper.
Let us know what you find
Hope this helps
John

I had water come in that side door. it was around the caulking it made a perfect funnel where the water from the gutter would leak in.
