Cool Greasing the Slide out Actuator

Has anyone managed to grease the slide out actuator itself? Not just the slides. I was wondering if the actuator needed some tender loving car after 13 years and wanted to make sure it is not binding.

I had seen a thread on another RV site talking about installing a grease fitting in one but wondering if anyone had done this or managed to get grease on the screw actuator itself?

oh and man is it hot today in VA!
