Graphics maintenance
I spoke with a very helpful gentleman at Avery-Dennison yesterday. They make vinyl graphics for many applications including our Sunline decals and striping. I saw their name on the paper backing of a decal I purchased at Stoltzfus RV a few years ago, that's why I called him.
I wanted to know how to preserve the graphics on our Sunlines since I've seen so many faded and peeling graphics on other Sunlines. (if anyone knows, the manufacturer of the material should!)
Some on this site have said they use 303 protectant as well as other synthetic waxes. He told me he had some technical info on maintaining graphics and sent me two files. One is for storage and maintenance and the other for installation.
Basically, we want to stay away from petroleum-based products and although he did not see 303 on his list, he saw no reason from looking at their material safety data sheet to exclude it. There is another specific brand named in the file he sent me.
I did try to upload it here, but it exceeded the maximum of 50 kb allowed. If anyone knows how to do it, let me know and I'll post the files.
Thanks,
Rich
