Faulkner Awning parts?

Our TT is missing half of each rafter. The part that is attached to the TT is there, but the part that is attached to the roller when it is extended is missing on both sides. We replaced the fabric last year and I want to make it last. Currently, I put the half of the rafter on the roller arm to make a v or y shape to add a little tension to the arm. I have looked online, but have the older style that is no longer available. Anyone have any thoughts? Is it something that can be fabricated? Thanks for your help!

Hi sdsferraro

Can you post a pic of what you are trying to make? I do not konw that brand awning but may be able to dream up something if you have to go the fabrication stage.

John

John,
Couldn't find a good picture. But, on your signature pic (trailer 1), according to what I was told the rafter is the bar that follows the awning fabric on the side from the trailer to the roller that the awning is attached to. Fun trying to explain....when you unroll your awning, it is the bar you attach to the awning before you raise it. I believe when the awning is retracted it hangs freely Behind the other arm that you raise the awning with. The half peices I have now are are attached to the trailer and hang freely behind that arm. I have contacted Marksrv.com and they said that I had the old style and they changed the tubes(to exact opposite of the old style). They told me I could upgrade to the new style, but they only carried one of the 2 pieces. Sorry to ramble, not quite sure how to explain. Here is a link to marksrv http://www.marksrv.com/ultrahardware.htm
Go down to where it says hardware changes and maybe that will explain.

Thanks for answering!
Danny

John,
Just looked at Files in Sunline Owner Group. If you open the A&E Awning User Guide, we are talking about the rafter on page 2 figure 4.
Now, that was much easier to explain! :P .
Thanks again!
Danny
