I have not called the 800 number for NHTSA, but I did send an E-mail to Dexter and am awaiting a response. I'm taking my coach to General RV on August 27, so I'd like for them to take care of this too if it wasn't already. The lady there claims it hasn't, but hopefully dexter will know for sure. I'm just wondering if anyone has had this recall on their '98 Sunline and has some paperwork from it.

Jon

Dexter recall.....

Jon...I called Dexter directly and spoke to the service dept., gave them my vin number..he checked it and assured me it was not on the list. However, he said that if it HAD been, I certainly would have known by now as it was a defect that would happen even on a short trip as from the manufacturer to the dealer's lot!! By no means would I still be towing it nine years later...the wheels would have fallen right off at that time...Hope this helps you a bit. My '98 is a 2653 like you had....Jan P.S. I found the phone number on the Dexter website...sorry I didn't save it though...

Jan,

Thanks for the response. I think I might call them too. I still haven't received any response. I really want my bearings pulled out and inspected/regreased, so if it can be on Dexter's tab, that would be best! I really don't want/have the time to do it myself.
