Sunline used Dicor I do believe on the marker lights. I did the Dicor treatment on the front top corners and side seams since about 2008. I can wash it and it comes back bright white. While mine is good, it is not as good as what your wet soap trick did.

The dirt does not stick to it. But the dirt will stick to untreated butyl.

The stainless screws, yes I have done most of the camper too. Rust stains running down white trim does not go well.
