Unhappy Camper Door.

This camper is not a Sunline,but a Mallard Sprinter(4-91).
Bringing it home from Va. Beach air got under the doorskin & ripped it off.Tore up styrofoam insulation too.
Have looked around, but thought maybe someone on here could help.
The door is the main door,26" x 70" with square top.
Any help would be GREATLY Apreciated!

They are not that big a job to rebuild but pretty expensive to replace if you can find one. If the door came apart it most likely has some rot a good carpenter can rebuild it for you skin and all.

JohnB is on a distinguished road
If the door is totally destroyed to the point of no repair, see below. Many have repaired them if the inside is rotted out and the door is not damaged to the point of no return.

See if there are RV Surplus places in your area. They can sell new doors and the entire frame cheaper then through an RV dealer. You just have to pick and choose from what they have.

I do not know the cost of freight from Elkhart IN to VA, but this may be an option

I have been to these 2 places and they have a mountain size inventory of "everything". You can build an entire camper from scratch if wanted. You just have to pick and choose

These guys (Johnson's) use E bay to sell from verses their own site. Call them, I'm sure they have more doors not listed on the site. I have seen them there on their lot. I bought an entire new widow unit from them. The link below with no pic says a round top door is $125 as a price range. Again no freight. I picked my $30 window unit up myself camping in the area.

Axles, Trailer Parts items in entry door store on eBay!

Been to these guys too. They are as big is not bigger then Johnson's.
RV Supplies and Accessories - Bontragers Surplus Inc. | Bontragers Surplus Inc.

Or here, Just these cost a lot more, but they are a good place to do business with. I have used them often with positive results. Again you have to deal with the freight

RV Entry Doors for Motorhomes and Trailers - PPL Motor Homes

If you want to know how to take the old door unit out and install the new one, see here for pic's on my entry door reset

Hope this helps

My biggest concern with a used door is the condition inside that you can't see. I would far rather rebuild what I have. I have done 4 they really are simple I made the frame work out of ripped 2X4 pressure treated with a styrofoam core. I would bet you could find a wood worker that could rebuilt it for you for a reasonable figure. The aluminum frame gives it it's ridgeity so that it doesn't twist. When I rebuild them I half lap all the joints instead of relaying on staples.
