Cabinet pulls/hardware

OK - here's my latest dillema....the pull handles on my 1983 trailer have a mechanism that retracts the locking tab as you pull it, pretty ingenious. The problem is about half of them are stripped or broken off completely. Does anyone know if there are replacements out there? I did a walkthrough at the local Home Depot and came up empty, and I have no idea what they are called so I can try a Google search. My only other option is to replace all of the hardware with some other kind of lock. Any ideas there?

I'm not exactly shure what you're talking about, but you may want to try GO-RV.com to see if they have anything close.

I'll have to remember to take the camera over next time I get over to the trailer. The original is a very interesting piece of hardware, but very hard to describe. It looks like just a knob from the outside, all the mechanism is on the inside.

OK - I looked at the websites you recommended and found a good replacement. I just need to measure the bolt size to see which one I need.

If anyone is interested they are called "concealed positive catches" and there are a few different kinds, but they all allow you to put on whatever knob you like.

Thanks again everyone.

Yes, those look like what I have in the 1981.
