Finally got the waste water setup fixed today. With Kitty's help, it didn't take as long as I thought it would.
First, we had to make sure we had enough "Stuff" lying around, to do the job!
I used a 3" rubber elbow and a 1.5" rubber elbow, to give the whole setup a little flexibility. They actually worked out quite well.
I started at the black tank repair site and worked my way to the gray pipe. Here's a pic of the ABS welding job. This joint is not only water tight, it is also very much stronger than the fitting from the factory. Also note the black tank mounting plates. The pictured ones were left off, by Grumbine's, when they replaced the tank. These came from the T-299SR.
Here's how I routed the black pipe. I extended it forward, to where the gray pipe would just fit. Originally, it was under the C-channel piece and I believe it was too low. This way, we got a few extra inches of ground clearance.
Here's a view, from the other side of the coach..
I also used a rubber coupler on the gray pipe, instead of a plastic coupler. Again, for flexibility.
A piece of galvanized pipe hanger finished up the job. The gray pipe appears to be a bit too low, but that will be fixed with an adjustment of the gray pipe hanger.
This being un-done for so long was really nagging at me. Even if the weather isn't the best, I still managed to get it done. I almost think we'll have an extra gallon or two, of black tank capacity now too!
