Banging noisy water pump

Made a major "oops", left water pump "on", drove for 3 hours and then arrived at camp to discover sink faucet on, plug in sink and water everywhere, including range burners. Cleaned up mess, refilled water tank, it was dry! Now air in water line that burps and spits plus loud water pump. As an added problem, water in range heads "gurgle" and prevent lighting! Help!

The pump will be loud if there is air in the system just let it run and see what happens. If you lift the lid to the stove there is a small screw that holds the burners down if you remove it you can just lift the burners out and dump the water out.

Hmm, each burn has two tiny tiny star shaped "screws"? That I do not have a tool to fit! Good news is that two of the three burners now light, the third does NOT emit gas smell when depressed.

Trying to convince my husband to just let pump run, thank you SO much for your reply!

OK that's a torx screw that requires a special driver. Did the burner work before the incident? As far as the pump just let it run if it does not quit spitting air then one of the valves in the pump may have a problem either way it will fix it's self or the pump will have to be rebuilt or replaced.

Banging noisy pump and water in stove top

Thanks to my sun line friend's advice, I purchased a torx screwdriver and opened up the range burners, soaked up the water with a paper towel and blew out the debris with the air compressor. Not only did this solve the problem, but the stove works way better and likes quickly and consistently! Thank you 😊
