Aluminum Roof Re-Caulk

Hi Everyone,

I have just purchased a 1995 Solaris T-2251 and there is no evidence of water leaks but the roof does need some attention.

I'm sure this has been covered before but can you point me in the right direction on how to re-caulk an aluminum roof and what is the best product to use?
The RV dealer told me to use a product called Sikaflex-- it's a polyurethane sealant/adhesive, and not to use the Dicor because its for rubber roofs. Is this correct?

How much of the old caulk do I need to remove first?
Can I go over what's there? It looks like it might be hard to get off.
Did I purchase the right sealant?
Any how-to videos out there?
What about painting it? What kind of paint?

Thanks in advance!!
