Aluminum coffee perk
Just going through some of regular camp equipment we're deep cleaning our coffee tools. We have an older aluminum coffee perk, still in great shape but has the typical stains from years gone by. To me SOS is probably its best fix.
We also have a plug-in electric kettle for the TT and noticed a pile of scale clinging to the element inside the bottom of the kettle, CLR there too, would remove rust and calcium etc.
I am a firm believer for the greatness of CLR. But how do we know when it's best to keep cleaning or buy new?
Have you people heard any negative comments on those aluminum coffee perks for the camp stove as far as an health threats are concerned?
I know these days we all get overly paranoid about cancer causing products and aluminum was in the camp of conversation.
