Last year, our fridge was having trouble getting cool and recovering from the door being opened. I installed a cooling fin fan last year and it helped distribute the cool air inside the fridge.
Since the cooling unit was having difficulties, this fan couldn't do as much as it would have.
I finally decided to install a fan, in the back of the fridge and see how it went. JohnB installed a
fan in his fridge, but I decided to use a slightly different fan. I also haven't yet obtained the thermostat, to control it. Right now, mine runs constantly. The fan I used, is mounted at the top of the outside of the fridge opening. It is only one inch thick and blows straight up. Here's a pic of the fan I used:
It pulls the air directly from outside and blows it up through the cooling unit. I forgot to take a pic of it installed
but I'll get one soon..
After putting the fan in, our temps got up to 96* with high humidity. I'm happy to report, that our inside fridge temp was sitting at 33-34*! The difference is amazing!
