My ac just started to freeze up, was working great I've only owned it a few weeks and it has never happened before, I did have to replace the gasket but no other problems. The water drains good I've replaced the filter need help please.

If it's automatic (electric panel) probably a bad temp sensor.

It could be bad t'stat but a couple other things. I worked on one the other day that 80 present of the outside fins were bent over and the inside fins were caked with dirt. Also, always run it on high cool and fan depending on ducted or not ducted. That is how it was made to run. Depending on outside temp and humidity any other setting does not provide enough air flow to evaporate the condensation on the coil.

It sounds to me like it could be low on gas. Have it checked and top off the gas if necessary and it will work like new. It's not real expensive. They charge you by the pound for the refrigerant. When it's real hot and they are low on gas they will freeze up. Good luck!
