30 amp or 50 amp ?

HI, we are new to the whole camping experience via camper and recently purchased a 2004 Sunline T2075 Solaris Lite. Getting excited about finally being able to take it out on our 1st trip and while researching campsites, the question comes up, do we need a 30 amp site or a 50 amp site. I have looked through the book, but still have no clue. Any experts out there? THANKS ! Sue

Your trailer should be a 30 amp service line. The 50 amp plug is different shape.

30 Amp plug left, 50 Amp plug right. Compare with yours.

Unless you have two AC units it's unlikely you'll have a 50 amp.

I have never seen a Sunline with 50 amp line. When looking for camp sites, if your only choice is a site that says 50 amp 99% of the time it is also wired for 30 amp. As you saw above you will be able to tell which to plug into.

Generally the 50 amp outlets are on pull through sites intended for big MH or large 5th wheels. Just about every powered site will at least have a 20 circuit you can buy an adapter for your 30 amp plug that will allow you to plug it into a 20 amp outlet good thing to have as you will not all ways find a 30 amp outlet and 95% of the generators do not have an RV 30 amp socket.

I have 50Amp male/30Amp female adapter because a campground only had 50Amp outlets. Luckily I could borrow one from the CG maintenance staff. Also have the 30Amp male/20Amp female and 20Amp male/30Amp female for driveway use. With all the adapters, testers, cords inverters/converters and chargers now carried I can connect most places.
