I should have been following this, a bit better your runs are very short. What you have is a bit of over kill but go big or go home. As far a the tow vehicle the output will be around 30 amps max on a good day that's what the vehicle is rated for and the factory wiring is a #8 wire. If it has none I still would stick to the 30 amp rating from the vehicle. Generally the factory alt. and battery is higher output with a tow package. Every thing you have DC is a factor of 10 so your AC load will by 1/10 of the DC current (+ - a bit) so charging a battery with a 1000 watt generator should not be a problem. You have an AGM charger so that's fine. your inverter will draw the exact opposite so it sucks up a lot off battery to make 100 watts AC. Looks like your off to a good start I'll follow more carefully.

Hi everyone. It's been awhile but the winter has passed. I was able to pick up and complete the inside for the most part. Thought I'd share some pics. I found a cool DC compressor fridge/cooler from Amazon. Its bigger inside then it looks and can freeze and cool. It's super energy efficient and so far I really like it. Going on a maiden voyage this weekend. Just need to do something about the cushion covers and find some new curtains/shades. Electric brakes as all set and bearings repacked. Installed new break away brake box today for safety. Wish us luck! Thanks to everyone here for all the support. Ton of work and John was right all along. It truly is a labor of love.

Hi Adam,
One word, WOW!!! It came out great!!! You did a fantastic job on this restoration.
One question, the bathroom area, did you put a new sink and shower surround in or did you find a paint to work? I'm trying to see/find if there is a durable paint that will bond and last on ABS plastic for showers or sinks.
It's amazing how many hours of work one can put in on a space so small. One would never believe it until you have experceind it.
Thanks for sharing. Always good to see how these transformations come out.
John

Thank you John! Really appreciate the feedback and support along the way. It most definitely takes much longer than it does in imagination, but I had alot of fun along the way and am confident that I have a durable reliable small camper to enjoy now. Regarding the bathroom, I had initially attempted to put in a glossy waterproof like tack paper on the walls. With all the hot water and steam, it wouldnt hold up and bubbled. The original wall paper was stripped out and the paneling painted with Marine boat paint. I noticed while painting that some fell on the pan and stuck really well to the ABS. I painted the pan, sink and toliet with it too and it seems to hold really well. Its rustoleum marine topside paint. I sealed all the seams with silicone and the pan after putting on new butyl tape

Thanks Adam, H'mm
https://www.rustoleum.com/product-ca.../topside-paint
The tech sheet. It is an oil based paint. https://www.rustoleum.com/~/media/Di...Paint_TDS.ashx
I never knew about that, now I do. Thanks again.
Yes, when I was painting my camper frame with Rustoleum rusty metal primer and Rustoleum Pro black brush on paint (not spray cans), and I too splashed some on the ABS door bezels and the plastic fenders. It stuck really well and would not even wear off over time. I have since used oil based paint to paint fenders after ABS welding the cracks up and it is holding up well. (heads up do to not use the spray can Rustoleum Pro black, something in the spray can to make it dry fast wrinkles the paint on plastic)
I will investigate and see if that top side paint will do the trick on a sink and see how it goes before I do a shower on one of my project campers.
Thanks again for the tip!!!
John

Hey everyone. Gave the camper a paintjob this weekend. Figured I'd drop a picture. Thanks!
