1982 Sunline truck camper toilet

Hello, I picked up a 1982 Sunline 8 SDR truck camper that is in great shape for the year, has been well taken care of. Someone has removed the water supply line to the Aqua Magic IV marine toilet in it and I would like to try and hook it back up. There is a Shurflow pump that has be disconnected too and is in one of the draws in the camper. Would this have supplied the water to the toilet, or is the white valve on the toilet the pump for the water? There is also a blocked off line coming off the faucet on the sink. I know I could just dump water from a jug into it, but I would like it to be near original. Any help on plumbling this back up would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan

I really do not know the truck campers if they have something special but a Shurflo water pump comes in just about every TT and 5'er. I'm assuming you have an onboard fresh water tank somewhere. That Shurflo would most likely have been mounted near by the tank. It draws from the tank and creates a pressurized camper. There are check valves in it and a pressure switch that once it builds pressure the pump shuts off and holds the pressure locked in the system until you open the faucet etc. It kicks back on when the pressure drops.

Pending on the condition of the plump it might leak back thru the checks or diaphragm inside. They sell rebuild kits for them and a whole new pump is not that much for the luxury it gives.

If you need any help with the pump let us know.

John

Hi Dan

On the pump see here form more info. they come in many sizes and shapes. There are spec sheets and instructions there too. Once you know what you want/need shop the web for best prices.

Hi Dan,

It's actually a 1981 model, and was actually produced about mid way through that model year.
