You may want to PM Vicmir - they have a truck camper and they may be able to help.....not sure how often they visit the forum.

nope. there are two wires, #8 im guessing up near the front. they would be battery hookup. much to big for automotive wiring @ lights.
i have looked and can not find any other wire/plug that would put power from the truck to the clearance lights.
I will be working on the camper today, as I put water to it yesterday and had a rendition of Niagara falls occur. go figure, old quest pipe. so ill be inside all them tight cramped cabinets .
this morning, ill again run through all the old owners books, see if i missed something in them.

I think #8 wires are usually for battery charging. Do you have a house battery? Maybe running lights tap off of the battery? Maybe you need a pigtail from your truck to the two wires you can find.

Im not going to rig the lights off the battery. They need to plug into the truck harness and operate via the dash switch for lights.
as with today, I started lookin at the plumbing, it was all quest, so i tore the entire system out and spent the day installing a complete new system with pex pipe and cut off valves for every appliance. ive got the time, so i will simply keep looking. tomorrow ill be removing the dinette seat plywood for a look under it, as im still seeing the occasional ant wandering around.
Bottom line, there has to be a service plug for the running lights. I will find it, or i will rewire the entire exterior lighting system, as even the back door outside porch light has no switch that can be found.

Ok well... It has running lights, found a wire under sink...powered it, now have 2 run lights on with no power to the other 8 run lights? are they daisy chained like Christmas lights?

Yes they are daisy chained but not like Christmas lights. If one goes out the other ones will still burn. Some campers had two runs (right and left) some campers were fused some campers had home run grounds all campers had really cheap clearance lights. It is an all most a yearly task to get them all to burn most often the problem is right at each light. I would start by removing all of the covers and clean up the sockets and bulbs with sand paper or something else abrasive till the sockets and bulbs are good and bright. My T1700 had numerous lights out when I bought it, I had a flash back to my youth when I worked at a gas station that serviced school buses and remembered the countless hours fixing dead clearance lights so instead of fixing them I replace every one with sealed LED lights. That was about 5 years ago they all still burn.

Hmm. I know some other brands used a female plug on the camper and you just need a double plug pigtail to connect the camper and truck. I can't say I've ever seen what Sunline did specifically though.

It seems like if there are lights on the camper there should be a connection some where to make them light. If the camper has a battery it too will need some type of connection to the vehicle to recharge the camper battery. Most modern trucks with a tow package had every thing you need in the 7 pin trailer connection and a number of things you don't. To me in order to pull this off you'll need 3 wires minimum one ground best to have a #10 wire one 12 volt + again a #10 and a parking light wire a #14 would be fine then a 7 pin pig tail from the truck to what ever is on the slide in my guess some where there is a recessed male socket of some sort.
