1984 Sunline Slide in Truck Camper

I'm looking for any and all information on a 1984 Sunline Slide in Camper I was just given.

I'm looking for any kind of manuals, blue prints, user restoration hints, specs......ANYTHING.

I've got my hands full with this poor rotted heap of camper and I'm looking to put some life back into it to save it from the scrap heap.

If you can do anything for it, (and me) please let me know.

Thanks!

I don't have a 1984 Sunline brochure, BUT I have a 1985 brochure. I'm certain that the info will be close to the same. Does your camper have a model number on it? The slide-In offerings for 1985 were:

C-700, C-750, C-800, C-801, C-802, C-851, C-950 and C-951

If you have one of these models, I'd be more than happy to copy the brochure and send it to you, but you'll have to give me your address.

Kitty

Perhaps you would also be willing to send a copy to me and I can post it under the Files section of the site? I'd love to be able to share any Sunline brochures with the site's visitors.

Thanks,
Sarah

I have the 1986 Camper and Fifth brochure. If you need the specs from it, I'd be glad to send them to you. It doesn't really have diagrams though. I haven't gotten a chance to scan it yet, but you should see it on the site (under the Files section) in the next few months.

Jon

P.S. Hogorlando, I am currently working on the '84, so it should be done and posted soon, hopefully in the next month.

I've still got the original owner's manual from my '86 1550 (I copied it for the new owner) and I'll check it to see if anything is listed there about campers. I think I remember a book of some sort that gives info for all units, but I can't remember what's in it.

Info on repairing C-750 Truck Camper

Howdy, the C-750 and others use a exterior grade particle board for mounting the jacks to the TC. Best bet is to get as mucxh of the old particle board off the TC and put some new pieces in place. I have an "89 and it's getting a little weak on the rear jack. I'm going to this spring pull the particle board off (they are 8"x12"x3/4" thick panels over the plywood floor/shell) and put 3/4" Pressure Treated Plywood in place with caulking and screws. Then reattach the jacks. Not hard, just time consuming>

Good Luck

1983 Sunline Slide in Camper

I just bought a 1983 SS DR 8'6" slide in truck camper.
I'm bringing it back to life.

Has anyone had any luck locating an owners manual?
If so can you point me to some resources?

Thanks

Welcome to SOC!
Brochures for the 1982 C-801 can be found in the FILES section.
  • click FILES tab at top of page
  • click "Sunline Brochures" (3rd on list)
  • about 1/2-way down on page 3, you will see "1982 Sunline TC & FW Sales Brochure" and "1982 Sunline TC & FW Specifications"
  • click on either of these
  • click "DOWNLOAD"

Craigslist, and be willing to drive a distance. The truck campers do seem to end up all over the country, so you can find one just about anywhere, but they don't often come up for sale.

In order to search all of Craigslist, use searchtempest.com.

Most if not all that you look at will probably have some degree of water damage in the front. It seemed like these things naturally leaned forward, so water drained that way and rotted the wood away over time.

Costa Rica seems like it's a long ways from Saskatchewan...
