Just noticed the bottom two pictures are sideways, sorry about that. Should I or shouldn’t I attempt this project?

It’s a ton of work. Very time consuming. Not sure what you and your boyfriend’s skill level is, but if it were me I’d pass.

Your looking at what could be a total rebuild. It is for sure a project camper!

It can be done, but it will take a great amount of time. If your only working weekends on this, it could take years (2 to 3) to complete. And that is not an exaggeration.

A question is, what are your wants/needs with a project camper? If you're looking for a project camper to fix up and then go camping in, there are lots of complete, intact campers to pick from. Ideally you get one totally complete, just in need of repairs. Then you have all the parts to start with, some may need to be replaced due to water damage, but you have something to replicate/repair verses starting from almost scratch.

The next topic is, how much repair do you want to do? Water damage takes time to repair. But if you find the right camper that is not totally gone from water damage, repairing the water damage from the outside in, you can restore the camper. And even this is going to take a lot of time. It can be a year working weekends on it depending how bad the damage is. We have had members do this.

A reality of camper restoration is, it will take a lot of time. You need to do the work yourself as hiring this out will be cost prohibitive. These are labors of true love. The need is, find one not abused and intact. Then access the water damage and work to get one at a fair price for the condition it is in.

If you need help on how to access how far the water damage is, ask and we can help on how to do that.

Sunline campers are built better than most, they can make good restoration projects pending the condition it is in. However they can get water infected for a variety of reasons like any brand. There a lot of Sunlines still left in need of restoring that once completed, can make a really nice camper.

Hope this helps

John

That was a really hard one, but I'm confident. It looks to me like the remains of a 1985 Sunline T-2402.
